The Atlanta Braves are assembling stars from their 2021 World Series run. On Monday, the Braves reportedly acquired All-Star outfielder Jorge Soler and veteran reliever Luke Jackson back from the San Francisco Giants. Both players were part of their 2021 winning run, where the outfielder was crowned the World Series MVP.

The blockbuster trade comes just ahead of the trade deadline and both players will now help the Braves in their second-half campaign. While Soler will fill the void of Ronald Acuna Jr. in the outfield, Jackson will pitch as a reliever.

The move has left Braves fans excited, as they hope for the best from this acquisition.

"Run it back!" one fan commented.
"THEYRE DOING IT AGAIN LMFAO," one fan wrote.
"The Braves just won’t give up. I love it.," another added.

The reactions continued on the same line, as fans expected a repeat of the 2021 World Series.

"First Rosario and now Soler…gotta imagine Joc Pederson is around the corner," one fan thinks that the next acquisition will be for Pederson.
"They’re reassembling the squad," another wrote.
"The 2024 Braves: 2021 edition," another posted.

Similarities between Braves' 2021 trade deadline moves and 2024

Fans reacted the way they did after sensing a lot of similarities in how the front office has gone this season. Just like in the early part of the 2021 season, the Braves saw a repeat of Ronald Acuna Jr.'s injury, who once again tore his ACL in May and is reportedly done for the season.

To fill his void at the 2021 trade deadline, the Braves made a flurry of moves. They brought in Eddie Rosario and Jorge Soler from the Cleveland Indians and Kansas City Royals, respectively.

On similar lines, even at this season's trade deadline, the Braves brought back Rosario and Soler from the Washington Nationals and the Giants, respectively.

Soler earned his All-Star selection in 2023 and though this year he has been a little off from his usual self, his bat can still get hot and that's what the Braves will want him to do consistently the entire second half.

Another acquisition: Luke Jackson is not having the best of the time in majors but a return to his former franchise might help him change his fortunes. In 2021, Jackson had his best year, posting a 1.98 ERA across 63.2 innings
