The Diablos Rojos del México pitcher Trevor Bauer has reportedly contracted Cholera and this has caught the attention of his accuser, Lindsey Hill. She responded to a thread created by a fan on the topic. A renowned MLB journalist, Christopher Boan, broke the news on the X (formerly Twitter).
In response to this, a fan stated that Bauer got infected with cholera as a part of his league minimum wage.
Lindsey Hill responded to the post with crying emoticons.
The fan again replied to Hill, continuing the thread, where they pointed out that they found the entire situation hilarious.
Hill again took time to respond and remarked that Trevor Bauer was finally facing the consequences of his actions.
Cholera isn't very common disease, however, it can prove fatal if left untreated. It's contaminated through water under unsanitary conditions, and the details of Bauer's condition still need to be revealed.
Lindsey Hill had accused the former Cy Young winner of alleged assault in 2021, however, they agreed on a settlement just last year.
Trevor Bauer's accuser denounces him for allegedly using "banned substances"
Former MLB star Trevor Bauer's path back to the major leagues remains obstructed. His accuser, Lindsey Hill, has leveled a serious allegation that Bauer cheated his way to winning the Cy Young Award in 2020.
In a detailed online post, Hill accuses Bauer of utilizing banned substances during his award-winning season. The post further implicates Bauer's agent, Rachel Luba, alleging her knowledge or participation in the alleged violation of MLB and MLBPA regulations. Hill cites screenshots of an official complaint as the basis for her alleged claims.
"He “exposed” banned substances by ACTIVELY USING THEM HIMSELF to cheat his way to a CY Young award and record breaking contract, all while publicly rubbing it in the faces of players who were playing by the rules," Hill wrote.
"@AgentRachelLuba violated numerous MLB & MLBPA rules by encouraging her “client” to both take, use & promote these banned substances - and publicly post the proof," she added.
These accusations cast a shadow over Bauer's career in the major league. Bauer and the MLB have yet to comment on the matter. Also, there haven't been any comments from Bauer's team about cholera as well.
