"She doesn’t get that from me" - Justin Verlander's wife Kate Upton shares 5-year-old daughter Vivi's striking resemblance to Astros star husband

Star couple Justin Verlander and wife Kate Upton share a daughter, Genevieve Upton Verlander, whom they welcomed on Nov. 7, 2018. In her latest interview with PEOPLE, Upton talked about the striking resemblance of her five-year-old daughter with Verlander.

Upton said that her daughter, whom she referred to as Vivi, just like the Houston Astros ace, likes to follow rules. Talking in detail about it, the Sports Illustrated model mentioned it being a birth order thing, as Vivi didn't get that personality from her.

"She is an only child and Justin is a first child, and I really think that there’s a birth order thing," Upton said. "I’m a third child. I’ve never met a rule, so she doesn’t get that from me."

Kate Upton also shares that she likes Vivi's sense of style, with her being "good at mixing patterns."

"Every time she pulls out a floral and a stripe, I’m like, ‘Girl that’s crazy.' And then she puts it on and I’m like, ‘It works!’" Upton added.

In the past interview as well, upon being asked, Upton shared that her daughter picks out her clothes and seems to have a better style than the couple.

"Clothes are such a creative expression of yourself, and I love that she has found that even at her age," Upton said in an April interaction.

During the same interaction, Kate Upton mentioned that though most of her daughter's traits resemble those of the Astros star, the mother-daughter duo does have one thing in common and that's "dance."

"She loves to dance and have a good time, and she loves to be in the moment," Upton said. "I think she gets that from me."

While both Justin Verlander and Upton try to spend as much time with their daughter as possible, both are professionals when it comes to commitment.

Currently, Verlander is nursing an injury and is expected to return soon for the Astros. On the other hand, Upton has a busy year going on, first being the cover model of Sports Illustrated's 60th-anniversary cover issue and then performing host duties for Hulu's new show, "Dress My Tour."
