Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani, New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge and megastar Juan Soto got a special shoutout from K-pop star DK of SEVENTEEN during his US tour this fall. The tour's video was uploaded on the band's YouTube channel on Wednesday.

DK got to take in the sights and sounds around New York City, enjoy local food, and visit iconic landmarks. While in town, the World Series was in full swing as Games 3, 4 and 5 were played in Yankee Stadium.

In particular, DK watched Game 4, which the Yankees won 11-4. The K-pop star, dressed in full Los Angeles regalia, walked away disappointed to see his favorite team fall by the wayside.

Still, the star had this to say about the experience:

(6:37) “Wow, that was a great experience. When else would I be here in the US to watch a World Series game?”

The icon’s genuine enthusiasm was evident despite the Dodgers’ loss. DK added:

“It was a great game by the players, and hearing the fans cheer made it such a healthy, fun and happy baseball experience. Anyway, I had so much fun today.”

Los Angeles' lost Game 4 but wrapped up the series the next night.

Dodgers' South Korean star Hyeseong Kim headed to North America

It’s no secret the Dodgers are popular in Asia. The club has lured Japanese stars like Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto to don the blue and white.

But the Dodgers are also quite popular in Korea. That popularity translated into the team signing up-and-coming Korean star Hyeseong Kim.

Kim headed to North America this week to begin the process of acclimating himself to the United States as spring training looms on the horizon.

The Korea Herald reported Kim’s departure, quoting the infielder:

"The Dodgers are a great team, and I grew up watching them play quite a bit because of Korean players there."

The thrill of playing for his childhood team goes beyond merely playing in the Majors. It’s also about making a dream come true.

Kim added:

"It will be an honor to make my major league debut with the club I watched on television. I want to make it happen as quickly as I can. My immediate goal is to make the Opening Day roster."

The Dodgers are confident Kim can make a significant contribution to the team from Day 1. The club traded second baseman Gavin Lux to the Cincinnati Reds on Jan. 6, potentially opening up a roster spot for Kim.

With Kim’s talent and hardworking attitude, there’s a chance he could be on the Opening Day lineup card this upcoming season.
