Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Ryan Brasier, like most of us, is completely enamored by what Shohei Ohtani can do on the field. Even just as a designated hitter this year, Ohtani is running away with the NL MVP Award.

Through 129 games, he is hitting .294/.379/.614 and just recently became the quickest player to reach the 40-40 club. Ohtani looks at his absolute best, which is not a good sign for the rest of the league.

It has been an incredible season to watch, and Brasier cannot believe he is witnessing it. He joined MLB Network Radio to discuss just how elite his teammate is.

"Luckily I got to play with [Mike] Trout for a few years in the minor leagues and the big leagues, and I never would have thought that you would ever see a player that can do some of the things he does on the field," - said Brasier.

Brasier thought he was in elite company when he was teammates with Mike Trout, but Ohtani's game is on another level.

"Getting a chance to play with Ohtani and you can never blink or close your eyes because you might miss him hit a ball the hardest it has ever been hit," - said Brasier.

Whenever Ohtani steps up to the plate, there is a chance that he will do something that will turn heads or make history. We may not witness something this special ever again.

Shohei Ohtani has been used as the Dodgers designated hitter this season. He is still recovering from the UCL surgery he had last offseason and is expected to return to the mound next season. His teammate, Ryan Brasier, could not be more excited.

"Obviously, looking at this year, we want to win and stuff, but I am very excited to see him do both next year" - said Brasier.

LA's pitching staff could be a monster when with Ohtani next season. Between him, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Bobby Miller, and Tyler Glasnow, it will be hard to score runs off this squad.

Ohtani was recently seen throwing off a mound last Saturday. This marked the first time he threw in this capacity since having his surgery last year. He threw a 10-pitch bullpen that was followed by a swarm of media.
