Nathan Eovaldi tied a postseason record last season as he helped the Texas Rangers lift their first World Series title. Eovaldi tied the MLB record for five wins in a postseason, posting a 2.95 ERA and 41 strikeouts in six appearances.
After six years, the Rangers visited the White House at President Joe Biden's invitation. Accompanying Eovaldi was his wife, Rebekah, who shared photos from the POTUS residence on Friday.
"What an honor to be invited to the White House with the Rangers organization ❤️ So proud of my Ranger!" she wrote in her caption.
Eovaldi was dressed in a blue suit, while his wife complemented it with a blue outfit of her own.

Nathan Eovaldi and Rebekah were high school sweethearts who tied the knot on Dec. 10, 2011. They are parents to a son and a daughter. Their son, Jace Eovaldi, was born on June 15, 2014, while their daughter, Adeline Eovaldi, was born on Jan. 11, 2019.
President Joe Biden hails Nathan Eovaldi for his pitching
During his address, President Joe Biden mentioned the contribution of Nathan Eovaldi to the Rangers' first fall classic title.
“The standout pitcher. Nathan (Eovaldi). Major League record with five wins in a single postseason,” Biden said.
President Biden also hailed Corey Seager and Adolis Garcia, who led the Rangers in hitting.
Talking about their visit to the White House, Nathan Eovaldi said:
“We’re just thankful for the opportunity to be here and represent the Rangers.
“It was awesome (in 2019). I was able to represent the Red Sox at the time, and it feels like the first time again. I’ve been able to be in some of those rooms, and to come back in there, it’s like ‘Wow.’ It goes by so fast, it’s hard to take it all in."
It was not the first time Eovaldi visited the White House. He also did so after winning the World Series with the Boston Red Sox in 2019.
“It feels special. It’s cool being able to talk to everybody inside. It feels like everybody has their own piece of history. It’s an awesome experience. We’re just trying to soak it all in,” he added.
This season, Eovaldi has gone 8-5, posting a 3.62 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 113 strikeouts after 20 starts.
