Los Angeles Dodgers celebrated reliever Evan Phillips' bobblehead day on Saturday at Dodger Stadium and marked the event with a bounce-back win over the Cleveland Guardians.
Dodgers fans got their hands on the first Phillips bobblehead sponsored by 76, and a few special tickets had the chance to win Union Night shirts. However, one of the highlights of the night was a special bobblehead.
Phillips revealed receiving a special silver bobblehead, seemingly inspired by the gold Shohei Ohtani bobblehead giveaways at the Dodger Stadium last month.
However, Phillips wasn't too sure if it was a special gift or a prank. He said:
“I think someone played a joke on me because Shohei has a gold edition... it’s my version of one.”
Bobblehead nights have been a popular event at the Dodger Stadium. While the buzz wasn't as big as the one for Shohei Ohtani's bobblehead night last month, fans were queuing up outside the ballpark to get their hands on Phillips' bobblehead.

Evan Phillips also shared an adorable moment with his family on his special day, when his wife Elizabeth and baby boy Beau were present at Dodger Stadium on Saturday. Elizabeth had Beau in her arms as he threw a pitch to his father from the mound.
Evan and Elizabeth married in December 2020 after dating for a while. They welcomed Beau in April 2023. The baby boy was born prematurely as the reported expected delivery date was in June. However, it didn't dampen the family's spirits.
"Our sweet baby boy decided to join us a bit early, and is getting some extra loving in the NICU. Everyone is doing well!" the couple shared on social media. "This is a love we simply never knew could exist. We are beyond blessed and over the moon with our sweet baby!"
Evan Phillips registered his 18th save of the season after a scoreless inning against division rivals the Arizona Diamondbacks in a narrow 8-6 win on Aug. 31. He followed it up with another scoreless inning against the Los Angeles Angels on Sept. 3 as Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani returned to Anaheim for the first time since his blockbuster move in the offseason.
