Starling Marte reveals "greatest wish" for 2025 as Mets star pens gratitude to God for a wonderful 2024

Mets outfielder Starling Marte had a memorable 2024 both on and off the field. He helped lead the Mets to the National League Championship Series and created cherished moments with his wife, Elianny Santana, and their children.

Marte, who signed a four-year, $78 million contract with the Mets during the 2021 offseason, is set to play the final year of his deal in 2025.

On New Year's Eve, Marte took to social media to express hopes for an even more prosperous year for himself and his family. The post included three photos of Marte with his family and was captioned:

Starling Marte and Elianny Santana began dating in 2021. After two years together, the couple announced their engagement on Aug. 28, 2023, and tied the knot in December 2023 at a picturesque location in their native Dominican Republic.

They are proud parents to four children: Salome, Tiana, Starling Jr. and Sterling. Marte’s first three children — Starling Jr., Sterling and Tiana — were from his previous marriage to Noelia Brazoban, who died of a heart attack in May 2020..

In December 2024, Starling Marte marked his first wedding anniversary with a heartfelt note to his wife on social media. Alongside an endearing video, he shared the following message:

Starling Marte capped off a solid MLB season with the Mets in 2024. Although New York fell to the LA Dodgers in the NLCS, the team remains optimistic about their chances of claiming the NL pennant next season.
