NY Yankees starting pitcher Carlos Rodon had a strong start in Game 2 of their three-game series against the Blue Jays at Yankee Stadium on Saturday. Rodon's wife, Ashley, applauded and celebrated his outing by posting a pic of her husband on her Instagram story with the caption:
"Temp wasn't the only thing hot today"
The Bronx Bombers had lost Game 1 of the series on Friday by a scoreline of 8-5. Hoping to bounce back from that loss at home against their AL East rivals, Carlos Rodon impressed with his start on the mound.
Rodon pitched for 5.1 innings, gave up three earned runs on three hits, walked two, and struck out eight batters to help the Yankees get the 8-3 win.
Rodon, who got the win, is now 12-7 for the season, with a 4.37 ERA, 137 strikeouts, and 1.21 WHIP. He is set to make his next start in the series opener against the incumbent World Series champions, the Texas Rangers, at home in Yankee Stadium on Friday.
Carlos Rodon's wife Ashley celebrates 10th anniversary of their first meeting
Carlos Rodon and Ashley first met in 2014 and have now been together for 10 years. Ashley celebrated their anniversary at the end of June with a post on Instagram that showed some pictures of their decade together.
"A decade of making memories together. God has given us so many special moments I am thankful for. Cheers to the next six decades we’ll call it. Love you Daddy Los🤍," Ashley wrote in the caption.
Carlos dated Ashley for several years before the duo decided to take the next step in their relationship. The couple exchanged vows in a picturesque location in Costa Rica in January 2018.
They are parents to three kids. Their first child, Willow, was born in 2019. Two years later, in 2021, their joy multiplied as they welcomed their second child, Bo. Their youngest child, Silo, was born in April 2023 to complete the happy family of five.
