The Texas Rangers shortstop, Corey Seager, blasted not one but two home runs on Sunday to lead his team to an exciting 6-2 victory against the Minnesota Twins. And his biggest cheerleader for the night was no one but his wife, Madisyn Seager.
Madisyn was not present at Target Field to support her husband but she did her best to cheer him from home. She reposted a video that was originally posted by the MLB on her Instagram story.
“That’s my bb!! Now get homeeee to us [heart emoji]” Madisyn captioned the story.
This was not the first time that Madisyn had shown her support to her husband through social media. In the last game against the Minnesota Twins on Friday, when Corey hit his fourth consecutive home run, Madisyn shared her husband’s feat on Instagram.
Corey had been performing quite well in the last few games that he has played. Before Friday's game, he had a slash plate of .360/.515/.840. Corey hit his first two-run home run off the pitch by Pablo Lopez. The ball went at a distance of about 404 ft into the right-center field stands. He hit the second home run also off Rablo Lopez which gave the Rangers a 5-1 lead. Rangers manager Bruce Bochy was impressed with Corey’s gameplay.
“He’s been locked in. It’s fun to watch great hitters get in the zone, and he’s certainly there now. He got some great swings off and he’s not missing his pitches.” said Bochy in a post-game interview.
Corey currently has a batting average of .258 with 11 home runs. He has an RBI of 24 with a .796 OPS.
When Madisyn shared Corey Seager's favorite cooking dish
Rangers shortstop Corey Seager might be a star on the field, but according to his wife Madisyn, he shines in the kitchen too. In an Instagram story in April, Madisyn shared a picture of a delicious breakfast sandwich, revealing it was whipped up by Corey himself.
"One thing about core... he can make the best breakfast sammy," Madisyn captioned the story.
She posted the story with a motivating text showing her admiration for her husband's culinary skills.
