After splitting the first two games with the LA Dodgers, Nick Castellanos' Philadelphia Phillies began the finale of their three-game series at Dodger Stadium on Wednesday. The game, marked by the Phillies' slow start, saw several hit-by-pitches.
The first came in the second inning when Dodgers center fielder Kevin Kiermaier faced Phillies pitcher Tyler Phillips. With a 2-2 count, Phillips threw an 82.8 mph sweeper that hit Kiermaier, sending him to first base.
Nick Castellanos also had a hit-by-pitch in the eighth inning while facing Dodgers pitcher Michael Grove. Castellanos was hit by a 97.3 mph sinker after a 1-2 count and was quite furious.

He said to Grove:
“That’s a big f***ing miss.”
It was Michael Grove’s first start since mid-June after coming off the 15-day injured list. The 27-year-old had suffered a right intercostal strain, causing him to miss 42 games. Grove completed his rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City, making six appearances in which he allowed only two runs in 5.1 innings pitched.
Returning to the hit-by-pitches, the last one of the game was received by the Dodgers’ Gavin Lux. While facing Matt Strahm, Lux was hit by a 94.3 mph sinker.
