The country singer Cody Johnson has won a lot of hearts once again after his splendid performance during the national anthem at the 2024 All-Star game. Johnson seemed to have received loud applause from the fans after he sang his heart out.

Cody Johnson had also performed the national anthem for the MLB before. He did it in Game 7 of the 2019 World Series between the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals. So, he was an experienced performer for the MLB.

The fans were quite impressed by Johnson's rendition of the national anthem, ''Star Spangled Banner," which flooded social media with praise.

"That’s how you do a National Anthem fellas," one fan said.
"Leave it to a country singer to do it right," another fan stated.

Some other fans also shared similar sentiments toward Cody Johnson's performance:

"That was therapeutic. God bless," one fan commented.
"Put that up there with the best of them. No dolling it up. Well done," one fan mentioned.
"What a breath of fresh air. God bless you Cojo," one fan remarked.
"That is someone who understands that the star is the song, not the person singing. Great job," one fan wrote.

Cody Johnson didn't disappoint after Ingrid Andress's nightmare at the 2024 Home Run Derby

Country music singer Ingrid Andress' pre-game performance of the National Anthem broke the internet. It was branded as the "worst national anthem of all time" by the fans.

The Grammy-nominated artist later addressed the controversy, revealing she was under the influence of alcohol during the performance. Andress issued a sincere apology and announced her intention to enter a rehabilitation program.

"I’m not gonna bullsh*t y’all, I was drunk last night,” Andress said in a statement on social media. “I’m checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need. That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition. I’ll let y’all know how rehab is I hear it’s super fun.”

So, Andress has talked about how she'll start working on herself and improving to become a better human being in the future. So, for this reason, the MLB decided to opt for a safer choice with Cody Johnson, who had previous ties with the league and had some prior experience of singing the National Anthem for the fans.
