Former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer has been showcasing his skills in the Mexican league since being sidelined from the MLB. Despite his efforts, the 33-year-old has yet to garner any interest from MLB teams for a return to the majors.

Bauer, who has maintained his innocence against sexual allegations, has struggled to attract attention from major league teams. Nevertheless, he remains hopeful and stays active on social media, often responding to both support and criticism directed at him.

Wagner College baseball coach Craig Noto took note of Trevor Bauer comparing him with Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes. Reposting a clip of Skenes' warmup routine, Noto wrote:

“Remember when @BauerOutage was crucified for being 'different' when it came to his routine? Ran out of AZ early in his career - deemed uncoachable …a problem… What changed that Skenes is glorified for his?"
"The answer is simple; nothing…both are GREAT PITCHERS… Makeup and LIKABILITY play a huge role in how people perceive you & how they judge what you do. Seems that people like Skeenes…and don’t like Bauer… Right or wrong that’s what it is…in regards to warm-up routines (stay on topic 💪)”

Trevor Bauer is known for his unique pregame routines, like long toss, using weighted balls and a flexible shoulder tube. Paul Skenes is also seen in videos following his own distinctive warm-up routine.

Replying to Craig Noto’s comments, Trevor Bauer wrote:

“The first one through the door takes all the fire but makes it much easier for everyone behind him to enter.”

Trevor Bauer thanks Mexican wrestler Euforia for honoring his highest strikeout record with a '19K' mask

After playing in the Nippon Professional League during the 2023 season, Bauer started the current season with the Diablos Rojos del México of the LMB and achieved several records.

He had an achievement last month when he recorded 19 strikeouts in a single game. Mexican masked wrestler Euforia honored Bauer by wearing a custom-made mask.

Sharing the news on X/Twitter and thanking the wrestler, Bauer wrote:

“Huge thanks to @Euforia_cmll for the custom Lucha Libre mask with “19K” on it in honor of my record-setting game—this is so special! Can’t wait to watch you fight!”

Euforia’s mask featured a '19K' symbol, representing Bauer’s 19 strikeouts, and also included his silhouette.
