Fans have reacted as Mike Trout, whose absence from MLB action has cost the Los Angeles Angels this season, is close to returning. The Angels were not the only ones who missed Trout as MLB fans are eager to see their star's return.

While Trout started progressing with his rehabilitation, Angels fans had all the more reason to celebrate. Mike Trout is expected to return soon. He will begin his Triple-A rehab assignment and is expected to return on Thursday against the Mariners.

Angels will turn to Mike Trout for offensive support

Despite his limited appearances at the start of the season, Mike Trout was the leader in home runs before going down on the IL. The Angels are struggling, and the postseason seems an impossible run, but Trout will boost their offense.

Ron Washington and his squad will depend on Trout for his offensive support. Before his injury, Trout slashed .225/ .325/.541 this season. The Angels star has been exceptional with his performances.

Trout had a decent OPS of .138. in 126 appearances at the plate. He will face live pitching after April 29 against the Triple-A Salt Lake team when he returns to the field.
