The 2024 hit different for Jose Altuve and the Houston Astros after being eliminated in the Wild Round by the Detroit Tigers marking the first time since 2017 Houston missed out on advancing in the postseason. However, a blessing in disguise, it allowed Altuve to make himself available early for a vacation with his wife Neena.

Over the last few weeks, the couple have been roaming in Europe visiting various landmark locations such as Effiel Tower in Paris and Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy. During their trip, Neena has been constantly keeping in touch with social media, sharing the new experiences they are cherishing.

On Wednesday, Neena shared an image of a beautiful sunset over the ocean, with vibrant orange and yellow hues blending into the sky and reflecting on the water. The text at the bottom is written in Spanish, which says:

"La creación perfecta de mi Dios. Me recuerda que todo siempre en sus manos y a su manera será mejor."

Translated to English, it means:

"The perfect creation of my God. It reminds me that everything is always in His hands, and His way will always be better."

Jose Altuve and Neena enjoy "dream" vacation in Europe

Just a week ago, Neena shared an array of pictures of the couple enjoying themselves in Europe. In one photo, Neena is posing in the backdrop of The Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy and in later snaps, she is posing in the balcony of her hotel with Effiel Tower behind her.

Altuve also took some shots posing in the backdrop of The Florence Cathedral (Santa Maria del Fiore). The photo is likely taken from Piazzale Michelangelo, a famous viewpoint that offers stunning vistas of Florence.

In another snap, he was captured from behind at the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in the refectory of the church. The painting he was observing features Leonardo da Vinci's "The Last Supper", a renowned mural painting located in Milan, Italy. The scene depicts the moment Jesus announces that one of his disciples will betray him.

"Dreaming of being able to return ❤️ 🥹" Neena wrote in her caption (translated to English).

Jose Altuve can rest easy knowing he'll be a lifelong Astros after the club extended his contract to five years, $125M, which means the second baseman will remain in Houston till his age-39 season.
