On the MLB All-Star Red Carpet, Greg Amsinger and Harold Reynolds had an interesting conversation with New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge, discussing his fashion choices and a highly anticipated potential showdown with rookie sensation Paul Skenes. Judge’s intimidating presence on the field and his excitement about facing one of the league’s most promising new players was also discussed.

When asked if he had ever faced a truly uncomfortable at-bat, Judge thought back to when he was a rookie:

"Yeah, there’s been a couple [...] But honestly, the most uncomfortable I’ve been is as a rookie facing R.A. Dickey. He’ll throw you an 85 mph fastball that looks like it’s 108. I didn’t know what to do. I’d look back to the coach like "What do I do?"

Shifting to his role in center field, Aaron Judge expressed how much he likes the position:

"You feel like you’re the general out there. I’ve been playing center field since college, si it’s nice to be back there. But I’ve got two great outfielders with me, man: Alex Verdugo, Juan Soto [...] We just have a great group out there, we communicate well and have a lot of fun.

The highlight of the interview came when Amsinger asked the New York Yankees’ captain if he hoped to face Paul Skenes, to which the slugger responded:

"I am hoping to face him in the first inning."

Amsinger excitedly added:

"The world needs to see it: Judge vs. Skenes."

Paul Skenes and Aaron Judge are set to face each other during MLB All-Star Game.

As a rookie, Skenes has quickly become a star for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Known for his deadly fastball, devastating slider, and unique "splinker," his selection as the National League starter for the All-Star Game shows his impressive progression from an NCAA championship and College World Series MVP just one year ago.
