Yankees captain Aaron Judge is a proud dog dad to two Dachshund puppies, Penny and Gus. Over the recent seasons, Judge has been spotted plenty of times playing catch with his dogs in the outfield at Yankee Stadium.
In an interview with the YES Network, Judge was asked some questions related to his furry companions, and he replied by saying:
"They are doing great. I gotta get them back out here on the field, though it's been sometime since they have been on the field. But, we will definitely be seeing them out here soon, they are two great dogs.
"They come with us everywhere, we are on the road they come with us, we are at home they are with us. We will be definitely there in Arlington so really looking forward to that."
Aaron Judge even gave an update when he exclaimed that both Gus and Penny would be accompanying him to Arlington for the MLB All-Star week. Fans love both the dogs as much as they love the Yankees captain.
Judge has been a man on a mission this season for the Bronx Bombers. After a frail start to the campaign, he has been in red-hot form for the past two months. Home run per game for the hunky slugger is part of the routine now.
The Yankees have been going through a tough break in the league right now since they have lost four games in a row, all at home in Yankee Stadium. The Cincinnati Reds registered an unlikely series sweep against them on Thursday. To add to the misery, their AL East archrivals, the Boston Red Sox, won game 1 of a three-game series on Friday by a scoreline of 5-3.
Despite the ongoing blemishes, Aaron Judge has led the team from the front and is currently leading the offensive stats in the MLB.
Yankees captain Aaron Judge is producing amazing offensive numbers in 2024
It almost feels like Aaron Judge is determined to break his own previous record of 62 home runs in the American League, which he set in 2022. He is leading the offensive stats this season, as he is ranked first in home runs (32), RBIs (83), and OPS (1.123).
His batting average is .310, and his continued excellence at the plate will be the key driving force for the NY Yankees to make a deep, effective run into the postseason in 2024.
