New York Yankees ace Carlos Rodon and his wife, Ashley Rodon, founded the ꓘarlos Rodón Foundation to help people achieve their dream of starting a family. In honor of National Infertility Awareness Month and Hope Week, the Rodon couple made a $25,000 donation to the Nest Egg Foundation, a financial organization that offers individuals financial assistance for IVF treatment.
“In honor of national infertility awareness month and hope week, Carlos and I got to present a check to the @nesteggfoundationinc for this years grant funds. We are so excited for the two families who now have renewed hope in starting their family. Please say a prayer for them as it is a long and tough process. We are so hopeful they will have answered prayers!” Ashley wrote on Instagram.
Afterward, they clicked a photo of themselves at Yankee Stadium ahead of the series finale against the New York Mets.
However, he hasn't seen similar success on-field. Carlos Rodon, who has a 3.86 ERA in 88.2 innings, is struggling to keep the opposition in check. In his last five outings, Rodon has given up 19 runs, of which 18 runs are earned, in 27.2 innings, putting his season record to 9-4 in 16 games.
Now that, Clarke Schmidt has been sidelined for a minimum of 4-6 weeks due to a strained lat, it’s up to Carlos Rodon to add more victories to the Yankees’ 52-30 record, while Gerrit Cole adjusted himself in post-injury games.
Carlos Rodon’s initiative was appreciated by Dallas Keuchel’s wife Kelly Nash
