Yankees captain Aaron Judge reached another career milestone on Wednesday after he crushed the 300th home run of his MLB career in the series finale against the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field. He became the fastest to achieve this feat as he registered the 300th home run in his 955th game.
MLB fans were quick to shower praise on Judge for achieving a historic career milestone in record time. Some of the comments on X, formerly Twitter, were as follows:
"They said there’s a MVP race," one fan commented
"All rise for the Judge, jury, and executioner," another fan commented
"Hitting his 300th career homer at just 29 years old, this man is on a whole different level! #300Club #AaronJudge #Yankees," another fan commented
Many other fans took notice of the fact that the White Sox, down 6-2 in the top of the eighth inning, intentionally walked Juan Soto, only to face Aaron Judge with two runners on base.
Many predicted that the Sox would also walk Judge by throwing four balls, which almost became true as the count was 3-0, but the Yankees captain had other plans. Some of the fan comments on the intentional walk aspect were as follows:
"Intentionally walking Soto to get to this guy, it’s not even fair bro," one fan commented
"I thought they were unintentionally, intentionally walking Judge after they walked Soto. Yank players were laughing when it got to 3-0. They thought the same thing. I was yelling at the Big Screen if it’s near the plate swing 3-0 and Judge did when he launched it," another fan commented
"Imagine intentionally walking somebody to pitch to this freak," yet another fan commented
Aaron Judge has been on a mission over the last three months after a slow start to the season. He leads the offensive charts in the MLB, and seems on pace to break several records this season.
Aaron Judge has produced an immaculate offensive stat line so far in 2024
Aaron Judge is batting with an average of .333, 43 home runs, 110 RBIs, and an OPS of 1.174. He currently leads the league through all the major hitting stats and is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
The Yankees will be hopeful for their captain to continue his impressive batting prowess at the plate for the remainder of the season and even deep into the postseason as they eye the elusive AL pennant and ultimately the World Series.
