Rodriguez, in conversation with Derek Jeter and David Ortiz, mentioned that the Yankees were put against the two teams, which would be the ones the team would have chosen to play against if they had a choice.

Rodriguez said that the team is getting a free pass when it comes to facing their opponents.

"You never want to say you have it, you never have an easy road to the World Series, but if the Yankees could pick and choose their opponents, I think they got the two that they would pick and choose, because of the success that they've had against AL Central," Rodriguez said.

"You don't have to say it, I'll say it, they have an easy road to the World Series. It's not easy.Look, it's never easy, right, but this is the clearest path in 20 years," he added.
