The Los Angeles Dodgers will be the only club across Major League Baseball getting a second City Connect uniform this season. The club is set to unveil the uniforms officially on June 21, but there have already been numerous leaks.
The new uniforms have been leaked online, giving fans the chance to check out what could be coming. However, there has been no word from the team or Fanatics, so these uniforms are subject to change.
The jersey almost resembles a Poptart or a cupcake with sprinkles scattered throughout. Outside of that, they are simple, much like their first City Connect uniforms.
However, Dodgers fans are not too pleased with the alleged design. Many fans had way more expectations for this second batch of uniforms.
"This is a disaster" - one fan posted.
"These are not good" - another fan posted.
"Horrendous and will not even allow them to touch my skin" - posted another.
Again, these designs are subject to change, but they are not a hit with the fanbase. With how much history is scattered across the city and organization, the creativity could have been endless.
"Hate these so much" - said another fan.
"I love it saves me money" - said another.
"Do they let kids make these? This thing looks like a jawbreaker" - said another.
Some fans are comparing this design to a Jawbreaker. They see it as something that a young child designed.
Before the Dodgers unveil their City Connect jerseys, the Minnesota Twins get the stage
While the Dodgers are set to unveil their jerseys on June 21, the Minnesota Twins unveil theirs first on June 14. There have not been any leaks of the design, but the club dropped a massive hint.
The Twins dropped a video on X teasing that First Avenue will likely inspire the new uniforms. First Avenue is an iconic venue in Minnesota, where many stars have played in the past.
With Minnesota being "The Land of Lakes," we could also expect some sort of nod to all the water around them. These have the chance of being the cleanest City Connect uniforms to date.
The City Connect uniforms have been a hit with baseball fans all over. The designs really connect the city, the team, and the culture all in one.
