Derek Jeter's wife Hannah captures Yankees icon playing coach to his toddlers

It has been 10 years since Derek Jeter, aka Mr. November, retired from baseball. The former Yankees star now spends most of his time with family, which includes his wife Hannah and their four children, Bella Raine, Story Grey, River Rose and Kaius Green.

With baseball at its peak, Jeter, a five-time World Series champion and first-ballot Hall of Famer, made sure to impart some learnings to his toddlers. On Saturday, Hannah uploaded a video where Jeter can be seen teaching his children what "hit" means in baseball.

"This is for everyone who thinks that he's been retired from baseball for 10 years. Here he goes, he's back at it again," Hannah can be heard saying in the background.

Derek Jeter also posted the video on his social media, saying:

"Ready for October baseball."

Yankees faithful Derek Jeter receives warning from Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes

The Kansas City Royals made the postseason this year after a long drought of eight years, which also involved three 100-loss seasons. Their journey to the American League Divisional Series against the New York Yankees included a sweep of the Baltimore Orioles in the wild-card round.

The Yankees vs. Royals has brewed some off-field rivalry as well, and that involves three-time Super Bowl champion and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who sent a warning to Derek Jeter.

“I’m excited, this is awesome for the city. I’ve heard all the stories about how great the atmosphere was the last time they were in the playoffs and they’re going up against the Yankees, a great baseball team,” Mahomes said via Ignacio Cairola.
“I’ll let him come and see me because if we have a chance of winning, I’ll get to talk trash. He’s a big Yankees fan, but I think if his team loses this series, he might have to move cities. So let’s see if we can do that for him,” Mahomes added.

Game 1 of the ALDS between the Yankees and the Royals lived up to expectations. The Yanks won a nailbiter 6-5 to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five series.
