Even though New York was able to pick up its first victory in the World Series, an incident involving two Yankees fans and Mookie Betts stole the headlines on Tuesday night. During the bottom of the first inning, Gleyber Torres hit a routine foul ball to right field, but as Mookie Betts went to make the catch over the fence, two Yankees fans grabbed his glove and ripped the baseball out.

The incident involving the LA Dodgers outfielder and the two Yankees fans instantly went viral. While interference from fans during baseball games is not uncommon, the fact that these two decided to hold onto Betts' glove and pull the ball out was completely bizarre.

Even one day removed from the Game 4 incident, Yankees fans are still divided about the two who were ejected from the stadium. After it was reported that they would be banned from Game 5, a divide was created. Some believe that they should be considered real fans trying to help the New York Yankees in any way possible and shouldn't be banned.

"Absolutely ridiculous. Those men are heroes," one fan said.
"They did nothing wrong free those brave Italian American men," another fan said.
"They should be throwing out the first pitch," a fan wrote.

However, others believe that the two fans need to face a harsher punishment. Some took to social media to not only condemn them but also said that they should not be allowed to attend MLB games in the future.

"Ban them for life. What are we doing???" one fan shared.
"Those fans should never be allowed to attend any MLB game ever again," a fan commented.
"Tonight? I think you should be banned from entering permanently. You're a disgrace!" one fan said.

It remains to be seen if the two Yankees fans will face further punishment

Although it has been announced that the two Yankees fans responsible for the interaction with Mookie Betts will not be allowed to attend Game 5, it remains to be seen if they will be allowed back next season.

There is a chance that the fans, one of whom is reportedly a season-ticket holder, could be stripped of his tickets. They could find themselves facing a lifetime ban from Yankee Stadium.

Regardless of the outcome, the only thing that is known is that they will not be allowed to attend the New York Yankees final home game of the year on Wednesday night against the LA Dodgers. The Yankees will look to come back from a massive 3-1 World Series deficit.
