The Los Angeles Dodgers concluded the 2024 season with a win over the New York Yankees to clinch their eighth World Series title and second title in four years.

One of heroes for the Dodgers during the postseason, Tommy Edman, is relishing the team's success. The 29-year-old was named the NLCS MVP for his heroics against the New York Mets and is predicted to go back-to-back next season, matching the Yankees as the last team to win consecutive World Series titles.

In conversation with "MLB Network Radion on SiriusXM," Edman said:

"We're going for that back-to-back title. I I don't think anybody's done it since, the New York Yankees back in the late 90s. So, hoping to start that dynasty."

The NLCS MVP also talked about the signings the Dodgers have made in the offseason. Tommy Edman highlighted the signing of two-time Cy Young winner Blake Snell, a pitcher he never liked facing.

"Our signings look like they've been great so far. I always hated facing Blake Snell. So I'm glad I don't have to face him anymore. I think at one point this past year, I looked at I was looking at my stats against pitchers and trying to see which pitcher I had the most at-bats against with zero hits, and it was Snell. I think I'm like 0 for 12 off them or something like that. So, I'm glad I don't have to face them anymore. He's nasty, he's a good pitcher."

The Dodgers signed Blake Snell to a five-year contract worth $182 million in November after a strong second half of the season with the San Francisco Giants in 2024. The Dodgers also rewarded Tommy Edman for his breakthrough season with the team, signing him to a five-year $74 million extension.

Dodgers bring back veteran All-Star to partner Tommy Edman in outfield

Tommy Edman is expected to spend next season in centerfield and he is going to be joined in the outfield by the returning Teoscar Hernandez. The two-time All-Star outfielder had a career-best season with the Dodgers in 2024.

However, Hernandez walked into free agency after his one-year deal expired at the end of the 2024 season. Linked with a return to LA in the offseason, Hernandez's free agency saga came to an end on Friday after he signed a three-year deal worth $66 million with an option for a fourth year.

The Dodgers have been one of the most active teams in the offseason and have also roped in reliever Blake Treinen on a two-year deal along with outfielder Michael Conforto for the 2025 season.
