The New York Yankees might not be done yet this offseason despite making a number of significant moves to improve the roster. The club was unable to bring Juan Soto back into the fold, however, they have done an admirable job at addressing their positional vacancies and weaknesses this offseason.

The New York Yankees have added several superstars this offseason, including Devin Williams, Max Fried, Cody Bellinger, and Paul Goldschmidt, however, it appears that the front office might not be done yet.

There have been a number of reports linking the Bronx Bombers to Luis Arraez in a potential trade, one that would bring the three-time batting champion into the team's lineup.

Luis Arraez may be more of a one-trick pony than a bona fide superstar, however, his strength is something that could greatly benefit the club in 2025.

Arraez is one of the best pure hitters in baseball, and is something of a throwback player in that regard, however, his ability to rack up hits is something that could be an X-factor for the Yanks in 2025.

Former outfielder Cameron Maybin spoke about a potential trade of Luis Arraez to New York. While the former World Series champion acknowledged that there are some weaknesses in Arraez's game, namely his defense and baserunning, he points out the impact he could make on the lineup.

"Listen, there are pros and cons to most players and I know a lot of people want to use the argument that Luis Arreaz's defense and his baserunning is subpar," Maybin wrote on social media.

After word came out that the New York Yankees were pursuing Luis Arraez from the San Diego Padres, there has been plenty of headlines about Arraez's weaknesses and not his strengths, something that Maybin was sure to point out.

"I'll say that he's exactly the type of bat the Yankees need in their lineup. Tons of quality's at bats in front of Judge and every other team has found a way to hide the so called horrible defender he is. He wouldn't make them worse, that's for sure!" Maybin continued in his post.

Luis Arraez could help fill a void with the departure of Juan Soto for the Yankees

Luis Arraez is not Juan Soto, however, his ability to rack up hits and get on base could help the team in 2025. The departure of Soto hurts the team in a number of ways, however, the quality at-bats that Arraez could add to the lineup could help stars like Aaron Judge pump up his RBI numbers.

It's nearly impossible to replace Soto's impact, however, the combination of Luis Arraez, Cody Bellinger and Paul Goldschmidt will certainly help.

Plus, if the team were to add Arraez, it could help address the team's infield questions, especially at second base. It will be interesting to see how everything plays out for the three-time batting champion this offseason.
