Kevin Gausman may be having a down year, but he's still the most talented pitcher starting today. He has to face the Baltimore Orioles, but he should be able to put together a quality outing.

Shane Baz has been solid in return for the Tampa Bay Rays: 3.60 ERA, 24 strikeouts in five starts. Pick him today, as he gets to face the mediocre St. Louis Cardinals.

Tyler Anderson ($8,500 on DraftKings, $9,000 on FanDuel)

Tyler Anderson has to face Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees, but he was an All-Star. The Los Angeles Angels player has been good all year: eight wins, 3.05 ERA, 102 strikeouts, 1.17 WHIP.

Top Hitters for MLB DFS Aug. 8

Aaron Judge ($6,700 on DraftKings, $4,900 on FanDuel)

Aaron Judge is the top hitter in baseball, so it's natural that he's the top hitter on any given day for DFS. His stat line is absurd: .324 average, 41 home runs, 104 RBI, 1.158 OPS. The only thing he doesn't lead all hitters in is average, and in that statistic, he ranks third.

Kyle Schwarber ($5,400 on DraftKings, $3,900 on FanDuel)

Kyle Schwarber hit three home runs last night against the Los Angeles Dodgers, so pick up the Philadelphia Phillies slugger while he's hot. Overall, he's .261 with 27 home runs, 73 RBI and a .894 OPS.

Vladimir Guerrero ($5,200 on DraftKings, $3,800 on FanDuel)

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is a good DFS pick (Imagn)

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has been excellent all season, unlike his Toronto Blue Jays team. He's hitting .317 with 22 home runs, 72 RBI and a .917 OPS. Pick him up today and reap the benefits.

Budget picks for MLB DFS Aug. 8

Josh Bell ($3,500 on DraftKings, $2,900 on FanDuel)

Josh Bell has played pretty well since joining the Arizona Diamondbacks. He has 18 home runs and a .725 OPS, two marks that will be more difficult to find in this price range today.

Anthony Volpe ($3,600 on DraftKings, $3,100 on FanDuel)

Anthony Volpe has been hot and cold this year, but right now, he's on the warm side. The New York Yankees shortstop is 7/21 with four extra-base hits in August, so pick him up.

Jorge Polanco hasn't played well this season, but he's a decent pick at this price range because he has two RBI in just 16 at-bats in August.
