Barring any more rainouts (which is possible since there is a tropical storm bearing down on the East Coast), all MLB daily fantasy sports players will have a wealth of players to choose from. From top sluggers in the lineup to great starting pitchers tabbed to start, there are good players to pick from today (Aug. 7). Here's who you need to have.
Top pitchers for MLB DFS August 7
Taj Bradley ($9,200 on DraftKings, $10,800 on FanDuel)
Taj Bradley has been good for the Tampa Bay Rays this season (6-5 record, 2.71 ERA, 103 strikeouts, 1.01 WHIP). Against the St. Louis Cardinals, Bradley is one of the best picks for DFS.
Tarik Skubal ($10,100 on DraftKings, $11,100 on FanDuel)
Tarik Skubal should be started every single time he's on the mound. There are so few pitchers better than the Detroit Tigers ace and his league-leading 2.57 ERA (not to mention second-best 0.95 WHIP), so pick him today.
Chris Sale ($10,300 on DraftKings, $11,300 on FanDuel)
The same is true of Chris Sale, who has also been one of baseball's absolute best pitchers. The Atlanta Braves star has an MLB-leading 13-3 record with a 2.71 ERA (third in MLB) and a 0.95 WHIP (also third).
Top hitters for MLB DFS August 7
Vladimir Guerrero ($5,200 on DraftKings, $3,500 on FanDuel)
Things have not gone according to plan for the Toronto Blue Jays this year, but that's far from Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s fault. Heading into today, he's hitting .317 with 22 home runs, 72 RBI and a .928 OPS.
Teoscar Hernandez ($4,500 on DraftKings, $3,500 on FanDuel)
Teoscar Hernandez has been the unsung hero of the Los Angeles Dodgers. His stat line is impressive: a .269 batting average, 25 home runs, 74 RBI and an .834 OPS.
Jarren Duran ($5,900 on DraftKings, $3,800 on FanDuel)
Jarren Duran has been one of the best hitters in baseball. The blossoming star has hit .294 with 14 home runs, 58 RBI and an .862 OPS for the Boston Red Sox and will be a good pickup today.
Budget picks for MLB DFS August 7
Spencer Horwitz ($3,600 on DraftKings, $2,600 on FanDuel)
Blue Jays hitter Spencer Horwitz is batting .283 with an above-average OPS. Those numbers don't imply that he's a superstar, but they're great value for the price range he is in.
Maikel Garcia ($4,500 on DraftKings, $2,800 on FanDuel)
Maikel Garcia hasn't hit all that well for the Kansas City Royals, but he does well when he gets on the basepaths. He could be a sneaky good pick today, and he's cheap enough to take that risk.
Yandy Diaz ($4,100 on DraftKings, $2,800 on FanDuel)
Yandy Diaz is an underrated player, and his price range for DFS reflects that. A .275 batting average and .740 OPS are good numbers that will be difficult to beat for such a low price.
