Although MLB fans will not be able to vote directly for relief pitchers for the upcoming All-Star game, that does not mean that they have not seen some absolute clinics this season. As the top teams look to maintain their dominance through the summer, the importance of a good bullpen cannot be overlooked.
In the run-up to the July All-Star game, the three relievers on each team will be selected by ballots cast by the players. Today, we are examining some names who have been putting up relief appearances befitting of All-Stars.
Top 5 MLB Relievers with All-Star chances

5. Luke Weaver, New York Yankees
Now in his ninth MLB season, right-handed reliever Luke Weaver has been a huge reason why the New York Yankees boast one of the best bullpens in baseball. With 40 innings already pitched, Weaver leads the AL in the category. Despite never having been an All-Star before, Weaver is now 4-1 with a 2.70 ERA, putting the 30-year-old on track for the best season of his career.

4. Dylan Floro, Washington Nationals
Another player in his ninth MLB season is Dylan Floro of the Washington Nationals. Despite the fact that Floro's ERA last season was 4.76, the 33 year-old seems to have brought things under control.
Now 1-1, Floro has thrown 33 innings across 33 games, allowing zero home runs and just four earned runs in the process, and as such, boasts a 1.08 ERA. If he is successfully selected for the All-Star game, Floro will become the first Nats reliever to go since Tyler Clippard in 2014.
3. Bryan Hudson, Milwaukee Brewers
Standing at 6-foot-8, Milwaukee Brewers relief ace Bryan Hudson is an imposing presence. This season, he has also been nearly impossible for opposing batters to crack.
In 23 appearances this season, Hudson is 4-0 with an ERA of just 1.03 in 35 innings pitched. With the 27-year-old only an MLB sophomore, his pitching this season has certainly been befitting of an appearance at the All-Star game in Texas this July.

2. Tayler Scott, Houston Astros
While the Houston Astros' rank in bullpen ERA may have slid from 6th in MLB last season to a current 11th, not all their arms have been responsible. Coming into the 2023 season, South African-born Tayler Scott had a 9.00 ERA.
However, the 32-year-old has been brilliant this season for the Astros, acting as a reliable set-up man, amassing 33 innings on the mound while giving up six earned runs, which gives Scott a team-best 1.60 ERA.
1. Jojo Romero, St. Louis Cardinals
St. Louis Cardinals reliever Jojo Romero has really come into his own this season. The former fourth-round draft pick has been the jewel of his team's bullpen. Now 3-1 with a 1.91 ERA, Romero will be looking to become the first Cardinals relief pitcher to make an All-Star appearance since Alex Reyes in 2021.
