The Toronto Blue Jays have been one of the more exciting teams to watch in recent years. They have a great core group of players, with Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette and George Springer.

Canada seems to think they're an exciting team, too. It's been reported that the team had insane viewership numbers for its first spring training game.

Getting 463,000 viewers is a huge number for spring training. Usually, only the die-hards watch their team in spring training, but not Blue Jays fans. They seem to be completely behind their team this season.

And it's not like the Blue Jays were playing the New York Yankees or Houston Astros, they played the Pittsburgh Pirates. The majority of the viewers were Toronto Blue Jays fans.

"So no reason we can't spend like the Padres and Mets," one fan tweeted.
"Kinda wild when you put it that way - but ya, it's a whole country. Wonder how close we are to getting that second team back in MTL," another fan tweeted.

Canada doesn't mess around when it comes to their home teams. It's not just baseball, either. Canada has a huge fanbase for the Toronto Raptors in the NBA as well.

Fans tuning in this season will get their money's worth. The Blue Jays are going to be a real competitor and one of the more exciting teams to watch.

Do the Toronto Blue Jays have enough talent to win the AL East?

The Toronto Blue Jays play in one of the toughest divisions in all of baseball, the American League East. From top to bottom, every team in that division is somebody you can't overlook.

They finished second in the division last year and made some upgrades in the offseason. They traded for Daulton Varsho, who is one of the most versatile players in the league. They also signed Kevin Kiermaier, who's one of the best defensively in the outfield.

Toronto also signed starting pitcher Chris Bassitt over the winter. Bassitt will be a perfect third or fourth starter for the team, with Alex Manoah and Kevin Gausman leading the way.

While all eyes are on the Yankees this season, the Blue Jays have a good enough roster to compete against them. Don't be surprised if they keep the AL East race close until the final game.
