Even though Trevor Bauer has not played in the MLB since 2021, he has done a tremendous job to keep himself in the public eye. After being cleared of any criminal wrongdoing from sexual assault allegations made against him, Bauer has been continuing to only push for another opportunity in the MLB and using social media to repair his image among fans.

In what may be his biggest social media update to date, Bauer announced he will be challenging the best baseball players in Europe to a showdown in London. The former National League Cy Young Award winner will face a selection of 15 batters who register for a chance to take an at-bat against him.

The European challenge will happen at Finsbury Park in London on Nov. 3. Although the at-bat showdown will be limited to 15 players, those selected will have the rare opportunity to face the former Cincinnati Reds ace in live at-bats.

Bauer will also host a live question-and-answer session, take photos with fans and sign autographs. Despite remaining a polarizing player in the baseball community, taking at-bats against the former Los Angeles Dodgers superstar is something that might be difficult to pass up.

Trevor Bauer heads into the offseason after a tremendous year in the Mexican League

Next month's showdown in London, England is another country where Bauer will have baseball in the past few years. His most recent season in the Mexican League has been his most successful stop. The former All-Star was dominant this year with the Diablos Rojos del México, helping lead his club to the title.

Bauer was not the only former MLB star who helped the Diablos Rojos del México win the title. Former New York Yankees superstar Robinson Cano, outfielder Aristides Aquino, infielder Franklin Barreto, and former New York Mets reliever Jeurys Familia appeared for the club this year.

Bauer was elite with his Mexican club, posting a 10–0 record with a 2.48 ERA and 120 strikeouts. While it remains to be seen if Bauer will be able to turn this success into another MLB contract, however, he at least proved that he has plenty of life still in his throwing arm. It will be interesting to see what comes next for Bauer after his at-bat challenge in London.
