2020 National League Cy Young winner Trevor Bauer is still available on the free agent market, although there have been no reports of any team approaching him with an offer. The 33-year-old was unsigned by any MLB team over the last two seasons as well following his return from a lengthy suspension. He recently stated that he is potentially going to lose around $400 million in career earnings.

Trevor Bauer was a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers when he was put on administrative leave by the organization after an investigation by the Pasadena Police Department for allegations of sexual assault against a woman. However, no criminal charges were filed against him, and the case was later settled out of court.

Bauer was later suspended for 324 games by the MLB, although the ban was later reduced to 194 games. Despite getting reinstated, he has not played in the major leagues since then.

On Monday, Trevor Bauer was guest on The Wealthy Way podcast hosted by Ryan Pineda. He talked about the financial repercussions to his career owing to the sexual assualt allegations on the show. [0 - 7:00]

"I didn't get paid 37 and a half [million dollars] from the Dodgers," Bauer said. "At the time I was earning an average annual value of $42 and a half million a year. And I had ten more years where I could pitch at a high level. Not including inflation, probably 300 or 400 [million] in future career earnings that I don't have a chance to earn now."

Bauer has spent the last two years of his professional career playing in Japan and Mexico.

Zero teams want me for zero dollars: Trevor Bauer

Despite not being on an MLB team for over three years, Trevor Bauer is still widely considered to be a major league-caliber starting pitcher, while he has made himself available for a league minimum salary. Nevertheless, no team has come forward to Bauer, leading him to believe that there is a collusion among teams against signing him.

"I like to speak about things that I know for sure and have a backing, a reason for it," he said. "When I think my way through it, that's the only logical answer. Maybe 30 teams all just independently decided, "No, we don't want him around." I don't know. Before this, I was a top free agent. Every team in the league wanted me. And after that, zero teams want me for zero dollars."

It will be interesting to see if any team comes up with an offer for Trevor Bauer considering the rising number of arm injuries among pitchers in recent seasons.
