Crawford played college baseball with the UCLA Bruins and helped the team reach the NCAA Regionals in three consecutive seasons. The Giants came calling in 2008 as they selected him in the fourth round and gave him a $375,000 signing bonus.
Crawford quickly moved up the ranks in the minor leagues and two years later he was called up for spring training before the 2011 MLB season and subsequently made it to the opening day roster. The rest is history as Brandon Crawford went on to play 13 full seasons with San Francisco in the MLB.
During this time he won two World Series in 2012 and 2014 under the leadership of manager Bruce Brochy, received three All-Star nods, claimed four Gold Glove awards, and also won a Silver Slugger award. He also made the most appearances at the shortstop position in the franchise history.
