Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. finds ways to give back to his community, preserving the Dominican heritage and boosting the morale of budding ballplayers from the island nation. Currently, the Canadian born Dominican MLB superstar is vacationing in the Dominican Republic with his family members this offseason.
Vladimir Guerrero took some time out for the local kids of the community in his homeland and brought smiles on their faces, as he surprised them with gifts and Nike cleats as a charitable event for his VG27 Foundation.
The Blue Jays ace also handed over a $70,000 cheque to a charitable trust. The money donated will be used for the betterment and upliftment of the people in the closely knit community.

Guerrero Jr. is coming off yet another formidable season in the big leagues with the Blue Jays, winning the silver slugger award for the second time in his MLB career. He also earned his fourth All-Star nod and registered his name on the All-MLB First team for the second time in his big league career.
The 25-year old righty slugger was born in Montreal, Quebec, and is the son of former Montreal Expos and Angels ballplayer Vladimir Guerrero, who hails from Dominican Republic. Like his father, Vladdy possesses brute strength and amazing flexibility, which is on display at the first base.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had earlier brought Christmas cheers to the local community of the Dominican Republic, as he handed out cartons of food to the needy alongside gifting some presents to the local kids as a charitable drive for his VG27 Foundation.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. ended a successful 2024 season on a high. Despite the Blue Jays failing to make the postseason, Guerrero registered .323 batting average, 30 home runs, 103 RBIs, 199 hits and .940 OPS. He will look to continue his positive performances in the next MLB season.
