Toronto Blue Jays superstar Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is the son of Vladimir Guerrero, a legendary Baseball Hall of Famer. Vladimir Jr.'s father, an NL MVP, nine-time All-Star and eight-time Silver Slugger, recently praised his son.

On Monday, the Blue Jays first baseman's father reshared a video of his son's philanthropic endeavor, expressing pride with the caption:

"🙏🏾✨ Seeing my son continue our family tradition of making children smile on Three Kings’ Day fills my heart with pride. 🎁💖 The greatest legacy we can pass down is the gift of giving. 👑👑👑"

Three Kings Day, celebrated on Jan. 6, is a cherished holiday in many Latino communities and marks the end of the holiday season. The tradition is rooted in the biblical story of the "Three Wise Men," who brought gifts to baby Jesus.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. donated DR $70,000 to kids in the Dominican Republic through his foundation for sports equipment and apparel. MLB and the Blue Jays shared the heartfelt gesture through their official social media channels.

The Blue Jays superstar is the founder of the Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Foundation, dedicated to helping children, youth and their families in education, sports, health and the environment.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s father applauds Juan Soto after blockbuster $765,000,000 deal

When Juan Soto signed a $765,000,000 deal with the New York Mets last month, the Dominican superstar shattered the previous MLB record set by Shohei Ohtani at $700,000,000.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s father was impressed by the fellow Dominican's achievement as he posted on Instagram a picture of him with the Mets star, captioning it:

"Congrats, Soto! You’ve made history 🔥💰. The biggest contract in sports is proof of your talent, hard work and dedication. Keep making us proud! 🇩🇴⚾️"

Soto's deal will likely affect the Baseball Hall of Famer's son's next deal, as he will become a free agent by the end of this year. The Blue Jays first baseman had earlier claimed that his compatriot's blockbuster deal would elevate his value in free agency. He also pointed out Shohei Ohtani did the same for Soto during the previous offseason.

In addition to Guerrero, Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette will become a free agent after the upcoming season. It remains to be seen what the front office does regarding the futures of the two. As of now, the overwhelming sentiment is that they will extend Guerrero while trading Bichette midway through 2025.
