After entertaining the fans in Major League Baseball for 22 long years, Alex Rodriguez now comically seeks a shot in basketball. A-Rod is currently in Paris with his family and friends, embracing the 2024 Summer Olympics event spirit in person.

On Tuesday, Rodriguez posted a video on Instagram, humorously announcing his absence from the USA basketball team for the Paris Olympics. In the feature video, the Minnesota Timberwolves co-owner demonstrated his shooting skills by taking 3-pointers, which unfortunately all missed the hoop.

“Sad to announce, Unfortunately, I was not selected for the 2024 Olympic basketball team… 💔,” his post read.

The 2028 Summer Olympics will take place in Los Angeles, USA. As his caption jokingly hints, it seems Rodriguez is aiming for the next Olympic event.

Apart from his sports enthusiasm, Alex Rodriguez is an analyst and broadcaster for FOX Sports and an avid golf lover, which he often shares on his social media platforms.

Alex Rodriguez is enjoying an all-Europe trip with his partner, Jaclyn Cordeiro, and daughters, Natasha and Ella. He has already covered Italy, Portugal, Mocano, including a few islands along the way, and is now in France’s “City of Love” capital, Paris.

Following a tour of some of the city’s iconic destinations like the Arc de Triomphe, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Palais Garnier and the famous Eiffel Tower, A-Rod attended Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards' grand birthday bash on Monday.

He shared the photos on Instagram, thanking the NBA star for the invitation.

“Happy 23rd Birthday Ant Man!! Thanks for having me. Let’s get it tomorrow 🇺🇸!!” A-Rod captioned.

Edwards turned 23 this year and is a USA Men’s Basketball team member, along with LeBron James, Steph Curry and Kevin Durant, competing in Paris right now.
