Yankees startling shortstop Anthony Volpe had a fan boy moment before the start of the Subway Series finale at Yankee Stadium. He swapped jerseys with New York Knicks star shooting guard Jalen Brunson on the sidelines as the Mets roster took BP.
Both stars exchanged their respective No. 11 jerseys. The New York Yankees' official Instagram handle shared a picture of the pre-game jersey swap.

Francisco Lindor was the man of the hour as he smashed two home runs and drove in five runs. Further, Pete Alonso, Mark Vientos, and Tyrone Taylor crushed one home run each.
Gerrit Cole started on the mound for the Yankees. The Mets offense attacked him from the onset for the second time this season. He ended up giving up six earned runs on eight hits while striking out just four in 5.2 innings.
Anthony Volpe went hitless in five at-bats, as the rest of the batters in the lineup also suffered against Sean Manaea and the rest of the NYM relief pitching. The Yanks are 60-44 for the season and will hit the road to play two three-game series against the Red Sox and the Phillies.
