In the sixth inning, Shohei Ohtani hit an RBI single, pushing the score to 7-3. Francisco Alvarez’s sacrifice fly in the seventh inning brought in another run for the Mets. Dodgers’ Mookie Betts hit a double in the eighth inning, driving in a run.
Later in the inning, a sacrifice fly by Teoscar Hernández and an RBI single by Enrique Hernandez extended the Dodgers' lead to 10-4. The Mets couldn't catch up, managing just one more run on Jeff McNeil’s RBI single in the ninth to bow out.
