The much anticipated NLDS clash between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres on Monday turned ugly at Dodger Stadium, and it's not only the on-field attention that's getting everyone on their nerves.

Before the start of the bottom of the seventh innings of Game 2, Dodgers fans frustrated, with the Padres on course to a blowout win, threw beer cans and other objects onto the field.

In a video going viral, one fan wearing Dodgers jersey can be seen throwing cans onto the field and signaling some signs to Padres outfielder Jurickson Profar stationed there. Here's the video:

What happened with Jurickson Profar in right field that led to a stoppage of play in Dodgers game?

In another video that's also going viral, Jurickson Profar can be seen giving a ball to a Dodgers fan as a goodwill gesture. However, the Dodgers fans threw that same ball to third base as Profar shrugged off.

As he was headed back to his position, someone from behind threw a baseball near him.

Immediately, Jurickson Profar talked with a nearby official, alleging an unsafe environment near the warning track of left field. The umpires crew got together and Padres manager Mike Shildt stepped onto the field.

The umpires called Dodgers security to take control of the situation in the outfield. The stadium announcer also repeatedly asked fans not to throw objects on the field or be ready to get ejected if they didn't comply.

That led a stoppage of about 15 minutes before the game resumed in the seventh innings.

That may have to do something with what happened earlier in the game, likely with the same group of fans. In the first innings, Mookie Betts almost went the yard against Padres ace Yu Darvish, but Jurickson Profar made an excellent grab down.

However, he first acted as if he hadn't caught the ball, starring a Dodgers fan for a few seconds, likely provoking a reaction from the fan.

Things are moving fast, as with the NLDS series tied 1-1, Profar can rest easy knowing there will be full support behind him when he takes the field in Petco Park on Tuesday.

It'll be interesting to see if Padres fans get into such acts with Dodgers players. What do you think?
