The Dodgers entered Game 2 of the NLCS following a dominant showing in the first game where they shut out the Mets offense.

After throwing nine scoreless innings, the LA bullpen tied the MLB record for most consecutive scoreless innings in a postseason. After equalling the 38-year-old record (previously held by the Baltimore Orioles), manager Dave Roberts announced that they will throw a bullpen game next.

Roberts stayed true to his word and opted to throw a bullpen game, with righty Ryan Brasier given the start. They needed one scoreless inning to break the record, but a Francisco Lindor solo home run in the first inning took that out of their grasp.

The rest of the bullpen didn't fare well either, with reliever Landon Knack taken to the stands by a Mark Vientos grand slam in the second inning. While Anthony Banda and Brent Honeywell kept the Mets lineup at bay, LA's batting superstars couldn't do enough to close the gap. With the series now tied, we're in for an exciting few games ahead.

While the New York Mets played well on the offensive, LA manager Dave Roberts believes his pitchers could do better. Speaking on Landon Knack's performance after the game, he said:

"I just felt today he wasn't sharp overall."

Knack came on to throw the second inning for the Dodgers and gve up a RBI double to Tyrone Taylor before Mark Vientos hit a grand slam off him in the same inning. After that, they were 6-0 behind and couldn't get back into the game.
