Former MLB pitcher Trevor Bauer is looking to make his way back to the big leagues. The 2020 NL Cy Young Award winner is currently playing in the Mexican League for the Diablos Rojos del Mexico.

Bauer has been turning heads down in Mexico. He broke the league's consecutive strikeout record with nine and recently broke the single-game record for most strikeouts with 19.

However, the magic does not stop there. Bauer posted a clip on his Instagram showing that he recently struck out an opposing batter while having one eye closed after a teammate dared him to try doing so.

Watch the clip below:

This is nothing new for Bauer as he has done this a few times during his career. He did it back when he played with the Los Angeles Dodgers on a handful of occasions.

After the strikeout, Bauer had to turn to his dugout to let his guys know he had an eye closed. There was no denying that he was fired up following the at-bat.

Trevor Bauer has been working hard to make his way back to the big leagues. He understands the position he is in and is willing to work his way back to an MLB rotation:

"Yeah I offered to play for them this year for league minimum with no incentives to pay them back for the dollars they lost when I was suspended," Bauer said.

Bauer revealed that he even offered to play for the league minimum with no incentives so the Dodgers could recoup some of the money they lost. However, the club was not interested.

If Bauer were to return to the big leagues, it would likely be on a contract like this, which he is willing to do.
