Francisco Lindor had a memorable night at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday as he led the New York Mets to a dominating victory with his family, especially his two daughters, in attendance. His daughters Kalina and Amapola, accompanied by his wife Katia, were seated close to the Mets dugout behind home plate.
Against the New York Yankees, Lindor went 3-6, including a hit and two home runs, contributing five RBIs in the team's 12-3 win. As captured by Katia, every time Lindor was at the pitching deck or was returning with a run, he had candid moments with his daughters, who were elated each time their daddy came around.
Katia perfectly captured those father-daughter interactions and shared them on social media.
"A special day at work with papá 🧡💙 #lgm," she wrote in the caption.
Francisco Lindor is happy to see his girls at the stadium
In the postgame interview, when asked about his candid moments with his daughters throughout the game, Francisco Lindor said he cherished them on top of having an incredible night, probably the best in a while.
"They've been [sitting near the on-deck circle] before, but this one was way closer because she's right next to the dugout," Lindor said via the MLB website. "It was cool. I was happy to have my girls there."
During the live broadcast, Kalina was caught contributing to the "Let's Go Mets" chant, on which Lindor said:
"[Kalina] loved it. She was talking the whole entire time. At one point, I was like, 'Baby girl, you've got to pay attention to the game. Daddy's got to work.' But she's at an age where she's amazing. Amapola as well. They're at an age where they're living their best life. And so am I."
Francisco Lindor and Katia, who have been married since December 2021, became parents to Kalina Joe, who was born on Nov. 4, 2020. Their second daughter, Amapola Chloé, was born in June 2023.
The family often visits Mets games and cheers for Lindor, who continues to impress them this season. He's hitting .259, along with 21 homers, 20 stolen bases and 60 RBIs.
