Dodgers ace Freddie Freeman is a talented individual on and off the diamond. He captivates his many fans with his impressive skills in the game and his good-natured personality has allowed fans to meet with their favorite player in person, as was the case with a young boy named Gunnar Gonzales.

Take a look at Freddie Freeman fulfilling the wish of young Gunnar by meeting with his baseball idol here: The Instagram post by ESPN was captioned:

"Even at a young age, Gunnar from South Carolina didn’t want to be defined by his respiratory disorder, and attacked his treatments just like he does the game of baseball."
"He wished to meet his favorite player, first baseman Freddie Freeman, and play catch before a game at Dodgers Stadium."

The young fan, despite all the health complications, continues to play baseball and hopes to become a big-league player like his idol, Freddie Freeman, in the future. The Dodgers Foundation invited Gunnar to Dodger Stadium to spend a quality day with Freeman and experience what it feels like to be a Dodger, as he also received his own Dodgers uniform.

Freeman played catch with his young fan and helped him pitch from the mound. Freeman has been a role model to many aspiring kids and budding ballplayers throughout his life, and he keeps making the case for his continued excellence each season.

In the 2024 campaign, the 34-year-old earned his eighth All-Star nod and third on the trot with the LA Dodgers. He won the World Series title with the Atlanta Braves in 2021 and was also named the NL MVP for the 2020 season. He is the recipient of a gold glove and has also won three Silver Slugger awards in his Big League career.

Freddie Freeman helped build a clubhouse at his alma mater

Philanthropy and goodwill are in the veins of the Dodgers first baseman. Earlier this year, in March, Freddie Freeman pledged $500,000 toward the $1.6 million project at his alma mater, El Modena High School in Orange.

The Orange County Register reported that the clubhouse would include a coach's office, a larger team meeting area, a state-of-the-art batting cage, and an elegant locker room for the ballplayers.

Freeman graduated from El Modena High School in 2007 but frequently visits the place with his family and continues to aid the institution in various ways through generous donations.
