Freddie Freeman and his family have been in the middle of baseball social media throughout the season. Freeman's wife Chelsea has constantly updated the fans about the family's activities through her social media accounts. Their son Charlie has been featured in video snippets.
Charlie was front and center once again in a video that surfaced on social media site X on Wednesday. Freddie Freeman's son was spotted by the Fox cameras jumping up and down with glee as his dad recorded a base hit for the Dodgers during Game 5.
Charlie, who was wearing a backward cap, couldn't contain his happiness upon seeing his dad get another hit in the World Series.
Freddie's hit in the top of the fifth inning drove home both Tommy Edman and Will Smith as the Los Angeles Dodgers opened a five-spot. That would be his only hit of the game as he finished 1-4.
After being down 0-5 in the game, the Dodgers unleashed a huge comeback—albeit, thanks in large part to the Yankees' lackadaisical defense.
Freddie Freeman's sensational World Series output earns him MVP award
Los Angeles Dodgers star Freddie Freeman went on a hot streak that placed him in the history books. The first baseman hit a home run in six consecutive World Series games, surpassing George Springer for the most in MLB history.
The former MVP had a great World Series overall. He hit .300 with four home runs (including a memorable Game 1 grand slam), 12 RBIs, one walk and five runs scored.
What's more impressive is that Freeman continued to play at a high level despite a bad ankle that he injured a month ago during the regular season finale.
In addition, he missed eight games this year due to his son Maximus suffering from Guillain-Barre syndrome. Thankfully, his child is now in a better condition.
For all his efforts and massive performances on the game's biggest stage, Freeman took home the World Series MVP award as he added another accolade to his Hall of Fame-worthy resume.
