Former USC Trojans teammates and Heisman Trophy winners Reggie Bush and Matt Leinhart teamed up to throw the ceremonial pitch ahead of the Los Angeles Dodgers versus Cincinnati Reds' second matchup at Dodger Stadium on Friday night. The Reds won the opening game, 7-2 on Thursday night.

While the former Super Bowl XLIV champion with the New Orleans Saints, Reggie Bush, took to the mound to throw the ceremonial first pitch, his former teammate with USC Trojans, Matt Leinhart wore catcher's gear and sat behind the home plate to catch the ceremonial pitch.

Watch Reggie Bush and Matt Leinhart team up for the first pitch at Dodger Stadium here:

Reggie Bush won the Heisman Trophy in 2005 while playing collegiate football with the USC Trojans, while Matt Leinhart won the same a year earlier in 2004 with the Trojans. The duo spent three years as teammates with the Trojans but never played on the same team in the NFL after turning pro.

The crowd appreciated the former Heisman duo as they then welcomed the Dodgers side to come out on the field to start the proceedings for game 2 on Friday night.

LA won the contest 7-3 against Cincinnati as Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani and Jayson Heyward blasted a home run each while starting pitcher James Paxton pitched six solid innings to set the tone for the Dogders' relievers to close out the game against Cincinnati.

Dodgers will look to take series lead against Reds on Saturday

The LA Dodgers will start Walker Buehler on the mound on Saturday night in the third game of the four-game series against the Cincinnati Reds. While Buehler is looking to register his first win of the 2024 campaign, LA will look to take a 2-1 lead in the regular-season series against the Reds.

Cincinnati will start Graham Ashcraft on the mound on Saturday night in an attempt to help the team take an advantage in the NL regular season series against the Dodgers.

The LA hitting lineup was on full display on Friday night, which is a good sign for the organization and Walker Buehler, who would expect the positive momentum to continue tomorrow so that he can register his maiden win of the campaign.
