Watch: Incumbent World Series champions enter White House to classical version of Higher by Creed as POTUS hosts Texas Rangers roster

The 2023 World Series champions Texas Rangers entered the White House on a grand invitation by president Joe Biden to celebrate their triumph from previous season. The entire Rangers roster and support staff entered the presidential residence to a classical rendition of Higher by Creed.

President Joe Biden welcomed the triumphant roster to the White House. In his address, he said that the ballclub was making strides in a positive direction to bring glory to the city of their birth.

President Biden made this reference while keeping in mind that the Rangers were known as the Washington Senators until 1972, before the ballclub changed its location to Arlington, Texas. He said:

"You're back in the nation's capital as world champions, and you deserve it. I think there's a word you all embody: resilience."

It was a maiden World Championship title in franchise history but a fourth for their manager, Bruce Bochy, who had won the World Series three times with the San Francisco Giants in the 2010, 2012 and 2014 seasons.

Noting the same, President Joe Biden said that Bochy was running out of fingers to adorn the World Series rings, and if he were to win another, he would need an extra one.

"I don't know how you'd do that, man," Biden said

Texas Rangers general manager Chris Young also commented on the 2023 MLB season and termed it a "rollercoaster" ride:

"It was filled with highs and extreme lows, and there were moments where it didn't feel like we could possibly win the World Series. But this group of guys, they never gave up hope. They never veered off course."

He added:

"The players forever changed the perception of our franchise and fans had waited a long time for this championship. "You all deserve this. We thank you for your patience."

The Texas Rangers roster gifted President Joe Biden a jersey and a pair of traditional cowboy boots

As the ceremony began and players indulged in conversations with the POTUS, Texas Rangers manager Bruce Bochy gifted Joe Biden a No. 46 Rangers jersey with his name on it and a pair of traditional cowboy boots.

The event was organized in the East Room. After this, the Texas Rangers will be traveling to the Bronx to face the Yankees in a three-game series starting Friday.
