Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran was one of the bright sparks in the American League East team's underwhelming 2024 season. Although the Red Sox improved slightly from the last two seasons, finishing with a .500 record (81-81), Boston failed to qualify for the postseason for a third consecutive season.

While the Red Sox front office is looking to strengthen the roster in the offseason, Duran is sweating out in the gym after a breakthrough year in the diamond. In a clip posted by "Rise Above Fitness" on Instagram, Duran, nicknamed "Big Swole" showed off his upper body strength by crushing a modified military press during his workout session in the gym.

In another clip posted by "batboybaseball," Duran shared another modified workout "prowlers," part of his push/pull upper body workout.

"This workout was insane "Prowlers" were the finisher to a crazy push/pull upper body day You can find the full workout on YouTube to see the build up to this Jarren Duran is an absolute dawg and this workout goes to show what it takes to be an MLB All-Star Training with MLB players is something we definitely need to do more of.. who should we workout with next?" batboybaseball captioned the post.

Jarren Duran had a breakout year with the Red Sox as the 28-year-old earned his maiden All-Star call-up in July. Duran made the most of the opportunity as his two-run home run propelled the American League to victory over the National League in the Midsummer Classic.

Jarren Duran joins former Red Sox MVP Mookie Betts on the elite list after stellar 2024 season

Jarren Duran was a feature of the Red Sox lineup for 117 games and led the team in hits (191), extra-base hits (83), runs (111), doubles (48), triples (14), and stolen bases (34). He became one of only two players to have 10 triples, 40 doublesm 20 homers and 30 SB in a MLB season. Kansas City Royals star and AL MVP finalist Bobby Witt Jr. also achieved the milestone in 2024.

Duran was also a solid presence in the outfield as the Red Sox star had the second most runs saved during the regular season in 2024. His all-around game earned him a spot in the 2024 All-MLB Second Team. He joined Xander Bogaerts, Mookie Betts and Rafael Devers, who was the only other Red Sox player to be named on the All-MLB Team.
