On Monday, Jazz Chisholm Jr. shared behind-the-scenes footage with his iconic camcorder of Aaron Judge, Gleyber Torres and other Yankees stars playing MLB The Show. Team bonding activities are nothing new and the fact that Yankees players love playing video games to relieve stress on an off-day is no surprise either.
In the video shared by Chisholm Jr., Judge and Torres seem to be playing head-on in MLB The Show. They are joined by other Yankees stars, including Anthony Volpe, who was struck out in the game. Finally, it seems, Judge's team won the game as they erupted in cheers.
The other day, Chisholm Jr.'s camcorder picked up action at a Little League game at Lamade Stadium, where teams from Illinois and Pennsylvania locked horns with each other. Yankees stars were also present to cheer for them.
"It's a good escape": Yankees captain Aaron Judge on playing FIFA mid-air
On the "Case De Club" podcast's fourth episode which released on July 8, co-host Corey Kluber revealed how Aaron Judge's love for gaming gets the whole team involved on long-haul flights:
"Aaron [Judge] pulls out this 30 inch monitor, his PlayStation, and by the time we get to 30,000 feet, there's 10 guys around this monitor watching people play FIFA and a FIFA tournament the entire way out for like four plus hours," Kluber said.
Judge further explained his love for gaming later on the same podcast:
"I'm not a gamer to where I'm like a professional, but I love spending a lot of time. It's a good escape, man, especially FIFA. ...It won't be '[MLB] The Show,'" Judge said.
Other games that Aaron Judge revealed he liked to play were Call of Duty and NBA 2K.
The New York Yankees are slated to play the Cleveland Guardians next in a three-game series at Yankee Stadium that starts on Tuesday.
