New York Mets shortstop Jose Iglesias will drop his new single "OMG" on Friday. He promoted his song at an event inside Citi Field on Thursday. The video, which has gone viral, has Iglesias vibing to the tune of his song, later joined by his Mets teammates.
Pete Alonso, Luis Severino, Francisco Alvarez, Edwin Diaz, Jose Quintana, DJ Stewart, Jeff McNeil, Francisco Lindor, Tyrone Taylor, Mark Vientos, Sean Manaea, David Peterson, Brandon Nimmo, J.D. Martinez, Kodai Senga, Reed Garrett and Jake Diekman joined in, showing off their dance moves in support of Iglesias' song.
The moment was one to vibe with, as the song, which is not yet released, has gathered significant traction.

More so, this song has now become a part of every New York Mets win at Citi Field. After the players give their postgame interview, someone cranks up the speakers to their maximum, playing "OMG," an unreleased song by Jose Iglesias.
“We’re singing it. We’re humming it all the time,” said 38-year-old reliever Adam Ottavino via The Athletic. “This one has definitely hit the most in the clubhouse.”
Coincidentally, the vibe of the song seems to have translated to the field. Following a rough start to the season, the Mets breached the .500 mark and have been the best team in the majors, going 15-6 in June.
Jose Iglesias' song is "all about energy, all about winning"
In an interaction with SNY's Steve Gelbs, Jose Iglesias talked about his song and how everyone in the clubhouse has been enjoying it. He said that he's glad to bring up smiles and joy in the clubhouse.
“This (song) is all about energy, all about winning,” Iglesias said. “The guys loved it, and I’m humble to make this song. The fans are already clicking with it, and we’re on a roll, and everything is right where it needs to be. And oh my God, I’m so happy.”
Talking about the song, he said that it has to do with the fact that one should enjoy the present and maximize everything we have.
“I realized how time flies and how important it is to live in the present and enjoy what you have and maximize the possibility of enjoyment and that’s what the song is about,” he added. “It’s about, just be here, we’re blessed and thank you God.
