Before the world knew, Juan Soto and his brother Elian Soto were already partying after his agent Scott Boras helped the outfielder land baseball's most lucrative deal ever recorded. Soto is heading to New York, but not with the Yankees. Steve Cohen's deep pockets ensured the outfielder a sum (15 year, $765 million) never seen in professional sports history.

On Sunday night, Elian recorded how the brothers celebrated Soto's deal with the Mets. The 26-year-old outfielder was in a hot tub with Elian pouring beer/champagne on him. In the background, there was a lot of cheering going on.

Elian captioned the video:

"Got his a-- Mets Babyyy"

It won't be long before the Soto brothers could be playing against or with each other. The 18-year-old Elian was signed by Juan Soto's former team, the Washington Nationals, as a free agent on a minor league contract in Jan. 2023.

Shortly after, on Feb. 3, 2023, he was assigned to the Dominican Summer League Nationals and activated for play on the same day. Following a season in the DSL, Elian was promoted within the Nationals' minor league system on May 22, 2024, joining the Florida Complex League Nationals.

Juan Soto once advised Elian to develop his own identity

MLB has seen many brother and father-son relations over the years. If Juan Soto's brother makes it through the minor league system, the duo will join the sports' rich history.

However, the Mets outfielder doesn't want his brother Elian to take up baseball just because he has. In a Sept. 2022 interview with The Athletic, Soto shared the advice he gave to his brother.

“People see him and are like, ‘He’s Soto’s brother, Soto’s brother,'” Soto said. “I told him to say, ‘No, I’m not Soto’s brother. My name is Elian Soto. I want to work hard and I want to be me. I want to be known by my name.’ I told him, you have to get your name out there, yourself out there.

"Don’t be my shadow. Be a ballplayer and be unique. Just because I’m Soto doesn’t mean you have to be a ballplayer. … If you want to be a ballplayer, I will 100 percent help you. But you have to exalt your own name.”

It remains to be seen if Juan Soto and Elian Soto play in the same MLB game in the near future.
