Kyle Schwarber of the Philadelphia Phillies is known for his heavy bat. The outfielder led the National League in home runs for his team in 2022, with 46 dingers.
Although Schwarber has never garnered high averages over the course of his career, he is currently hitting just .174. However, he has still managed to pelt 11 home runs, putting him on course for one of the better seasons in his career.
On Sunday, the Phillies were at Wrigley Field to take on the Chicago Cubs. The game remained scoreless until the seventh inning, when Bryson Stott was selected to pinch-hit for Josh Harrison.
Stott, a 25-year old who is appearing in his second season in the MLB, proceeded to take Adbert Alzolay 357 feet to right field, putting his team up by 2-0. The jack represented Stott's fourth home run and 18th RBI of the 2023 season.

The Philadelphia Phillies were able to hold on and complete the 2-1 victory over the Chicago Cubs. The victory was their second win in a row after they snapped a five-game losing slide with a 12-3 victory at Wrigley on May 20.
Kyle Schwarber, who had registered a strikeout and a walk in the game to that date, could not hide his exhiliration as Stott's ball sailed into the right field stands and he began to strutt around the bases.

Many believe that Stott will be a top player in the MLB in years to come. He hit to reach base safely in 17 straight appearances to start the season. As such, he surpassed the previously held Phillies franchise hit streak, which was set by Willie Jones all the way back during the 1950 season.
Kyle Schwarber's excitement over young Bryson Stott says it all
Kyle Schwarber is a player who knows a power hitter when he sees one. His obvious passion and interest in seeing a younger teammate go yard is telling. Last year, the Phillies made it all the way to the World Series, and although they lost to the Houston Astros, the character built will likely be able to sustain them to many more such postseason runs in the next few years.
